Believers think differently

One of the most important organs the Lord gave us is the brain. It is the center of our mind and carries our ability to think and reason. The Word of God enters our lives through hearing & reading & is processed in the mind.

Therefore, if we feed our minds with false ideas about God, our lifestyles will produce ungodly fruit that is greed, anger, bitterness, debauchery, gossip & malice. However, if we feed our minds with the truth of the Word of God, it renews us and makes us think like Christ. Consequently, the fruits produced in our lives will be love, joy, peace. patience, gentleness, goodness & self-control. The Word of God is the living bread. It has the power to make us Christ-like if we submit to its teaching.

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as a living sacrifice. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking.

The things that unbelievers live for are temporary vanities and they can all be gone faster than a lighting strike. Stop trying to fit in.

Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what God wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask??

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.?
Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
