Believe, Perceive, Receive!

While contemplating my day I was struck by a nugget of truth which connected with my heart. It is one thing to hear something and let it fly out of your head without it ever touching your heart, but it something quite remarkable when you are presented with words or images which then find their way into your being. This morning I had one of those head-heart connecting moments.?

I heard this truth nugget and I want to share it with you:?

WHAT I BELIEVE DETERMINES WHAT I PERCEIVE...?

...AND WHAT I PERCEIVE DETERMINES WHAT I RECEIVE.?

This made me think of our client attraction and the kind of clients and relationships we attract. Because we believe that we are experts with vast experience and knowledge of Italian travel we project a presence that enables us to attract and retain clients who want more than what can be gathered on the internet. If our clients perceive that we won’t have an issue fulfilling their desire to do a helicopter flight to the Aeolian islands or over the Tuscan countryside – even if it costs $5,000 – then we will receive those kinds of clients with those kinds of requests.?

Problems arise when you don’t have the right contacts to call on when those requests or others that you don’t normally handle come to you. You may be an expert in a destination or a type of travel but if you don’t have the right connections on the ground or in your network of providers then you will never be able to deliver and therefore the chain will break before you receive.?

I knew I wanted to build a company to provide remarkable experiences and because I was a travel agent before I knew that the industry was missing a company like ours. The industry needed someone like us that would be “in the know” at all times, that had the right connections with providers, guides and drivers who would give knowledgeable answers every time there was an unusual request. All with integrity, authenticity and love.?

So, if we sell the cookie-cutter packages, then we will get those type of clients who are often only concerned with finding the lowest price available. On the other hand, if we sell experiential and off-the-beaten-path travel, then we will attract those clients who know what they want, aren’t afraid to ask for what they want and more importantly are happy to pay the professional, you and us, for the service of arranging these experiences for them.?
