Belief
Charlie Anderson
Peak Performance Coach at Lightning Thoughts Ltd I help teams and individuals get from where they are to where they want to be. Mapping a course of action for success as well as assessing and implementing changes.
To believe something is possible is the key to success. To have true desire, grit and determination to make it happen you require the belief it is possible. Watching my team yesterday was hard work. I support the mighty West Ham United, not that we always appear mighty. Yesterday we went down 3-0 within 16 minutes against Tottenham who were outplaying us in the first half.
Half time team talks can make or break a manager, well West Ham came out with a belief. If we can score 1 goal we can get another and we can come home with a result. I truly believe having Declan Rice as captain has changed the team massively. I think he carried himself and the team in a way that Bobby Moore would have been proud. People will argue that West Ham were "lucky", maybe we were, however, to be lucky you have to work hard and make that little bit of luck count.
Work hard and you will be lucky all your life. The harder you work the luckier you will be. When you believe you can achieve something dream big but start small. Lets look at another game, Aston Villa vs Liverpool, everyone believed Liverpool would win but Villa had other ideas. They came out fighting and destroyed Liverpool 7-2, they believed in themselves and achieved their desired result. England vs New Zealand in the RWC semi-final, a fantastic result. This takes a lot of hard work and determination. Don't just give up because things aren't going well. Keep pushing, keep working and things will all click in to place at the right time.
