Belarus’ Yauheni Karaliok claims world champion title in scratch
Belarusian cyclist Yauheni Karaliok won gold in the men's Scratch Race of the 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian displayed a confident performance to surpass Michele Scartezzini of Ilaty (silver) and Callum Scotson of Australia (bronze).
Yauheni Karaliok earned the first title of the championships for Belarus. The competitions in the Netherlands will be over on 4 March.
