Dearest Friends and Colleagues,

As many of you may know, the tragic events that rocked and leveled parts of Beirut a few days ago turned the country’s worst economic, social and health crisis in decades, into an unprecedented and catastrophic humanitarian crisis.

Some of you have probably heard my stories about Lebanon too many times, so you know how deep my connection and love for this country and its people are. This love compels me today to act, to think of ways to help, and to write this message hoping you can help as well.

Arcenciel is a Lebanese NGO that I trust and personally know very well. They are one of the largest in the country and have done very impressive work for decades and benefit tens of thousands of people every year. They have built an infrastructure that can truly deliver anything they set their mind to, and it is one of the most organized, efficient and trusted institutions in the country.

Over the past few days, I have been in very close contact with their US Chairman trying to define what the best approach to help is. Together we agreed that these 2 programs would have the greatest impact helping people in need and keeping donations in Lebanon’s economy to generate jobs:

1)    Refurbishing and recycling of damaged household goods

2)    Medical Supplies and Healthcare

I am asking anyone that can to donate to these programs and help our Lebanese brothers and sisters. There is no small donation, every single bit helps. Please share this information with your friends and family as well.
