Approximately a month or so ago, I did a quick survey on the relevancy of writing another book on the impact of systemic #sexism and #sexualharassment towards women.
Here’s the link of my original post: https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/sylvie-leduc-resilient-bold-courageous-professional-humanist-10a35342_sexism-sexualharassment-sexism-activity-7070097384340385792-tdw-?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop if you wish to review it.
Said positioning introductory post managed to get over 1390 views, yet the voting scores are extremely dismal at best. ?Fourteen votes in total, with 86% being positive thus 14% answered no. I wish to express my sincere thanks to those who took the time to read the post and followed with a vote.
To me, it speaks volume on how folks prefer to remain silent on the sidelines on more touchy/controversial/sensitive subjects..... I find this extremely sad....
I guess the old saying ‘’silence is consent’’ meaning a lack or response to an action is a tacit approval of that action, appears to apply in the context of the results of my very brief survey.
Well to quote the source where I got this pic i.e. ?‘’Ravenwolf’’?: be a voice not an echo.
Amongst the tears of sadness and frustration, I will try my best to continue to be this voice. Younger women and future generations deserve better.
More to come on the status of the book!
