Level 1 - Novice

At this stage, you're just starting to build your LinkedIn presence. You may have a basic profile, few connections, and limited engagement on the platform.

To get noticed, focus on the following:

  • Complete your profile: Make sure your profile is up-to-date and complete to attract potential connections and clients.
  • Engage with others: Comment, share, and like other users' posts to start building a community on LinkedIn
  • Start sharing content: Share articles, updates, and insights related to your industry to showcase your expertise.

Level 2 - Generalist

Now that you have a solid foundation on LinkedIn, it's time to level up. You may have at least 1000 connections and are starting to build your brand.

To get to the next level, focus on:

  • Expanding your network: Connect with more people and companies in your industry.
  • High-quality content: Share whitepapers, ebooks, and videos to establish yourself as a thought leader.
  • Engaging with your network: Respond to comments and messages to build stronger relationships.

Level 3 - Specialist

You're showing that you have a deep understanding of your industry and are sharing valuable insights. You may have a few thousand connections and are starting to be recognized.

To keep growing, consider the following:

  • Thought Leadership: Publish content, such as blog posts, or articles that showcase your expertise and provide valuable insights to your connections.
  • Collaborate with other LinkedIn users by writing and sharing guest posts, participating in webinars, or conducting online interviews.
  • Mentorship: Seek out a mentor who can provide guidance, support, and help you navigate challenges as you grow your career.

  • Create a LinkedIn event: Stream your webinar and workshops live to showcase your expertise.

Level 5 - Trusted Advisor

You're at the top of the game, a trusted advisor with a large and engaged network. You're frequently invited to speak and write articles as a thought leader.

To maintain your relevancy, focus on:

  • Continuously expanding and nurturing your professional network.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments through ongoing education and research.
  • Building a strong personal brand through speaking engagements, writing articles, and showcasing your expertise.
