Orange Sky Australia is swiftly approaching its 8th birthday and our hormones are popping as we move toward our teenage years. We feel a little restless and rebellious as we look to the future and think about how we could be bigger, better, and provide even more, and different, impact to the world!

So, to make sure we play smartly, Team Delta has been looking at what’s over the horizon for the world and reviewed heaps of great research that will help us navigate all the uncertainty. There are 7 key global trends that we think might impact our environment. We want to know what you think is the most exciting place for us to play, and the scariest no-go spaces.

The top issues that young people in our programs raise are climate change and youth mental health if that helps - including loneliness. I think loneliness in a digital age is an interesting one in general especially with an ageing population.

Oh this really got me thinking. I acknowledge the need for safety nets and at the same time I think disruptive forces are needed to address the underlying determinants of health and wellbeing, even if that isn't at scale. I reckon you can do both well, so pick something in each space, maybe not too far outside current market scope (but enough to give it a nudge).
