Being thankful – such a cliché…

Did you know – International Thank-You Day is celebrated yearly on January 11. It is a day that serves as a reminder that we ought to express our gratitude to those who have made our lives better in some way. What better month to reflect on this than the beginning of the year? This might help us start a new habit ??
During our busy days we always strive to go fast, forward and higher…we often forget just to stop, look around us and appreciate what we already have.
It may sound like a cliché to talk about gratitude. However, I find this topic very close to my heart and I think it can really create a positive change for us.... When we notice what we already have, what we have accomplished, it brings us strength and empowers us from a "place of having" rather than a "place of lacking".
We will always have things to dream for, we will long for places to visit, goals to achieve, we know that a “Better version of us” is always ahead. And all of this is great if we look at it as an inspiration and opportunity, rather than a problem to be solved.
In recent years, I've been trying to find more time to celebrate my small victories ?? (because they do happen) and less time to think about the things I haven't done/ achieved yet (because they're also a lot), but this mindset makes me worry and feel incomplete.
How about you ? Do you celebrate your small victories ? Do you have a similar reaction – when you think about the things that you have not yet accomplished?
So, I am trying to say more and more often “Thank you” ?? – to Life and the opportunities it gives me, to my friends, family, my challengers and even – my misfortune. As they all bring a great deal to me, my awareness and development.
I am very thankful for 2023 as it was a year full of sooo many things – both positive and negative. It has brought me to a new level where I do see things more clearly (and no, it is not thanks to Next-generation glasses or an eye-operation).
For this reason, I would like to share with you 3 of the main things I am thankful for:
领英推荐
1)???? Work-related – I have taken a part of a couple of internal improvement projects and initiated some initiatives related to personal/ professional development – something I wanted to do for a long time and discover a new part of me ;
2)???? For the first time, I made up my year box and during the year, I wrote “Thankful” notes for each week and the things that have happened to me and I have accomplished – so I could remember my “Big moments” ;
3)???? I supported the dog ?? shelter I have adopted my fluffy from, by creating and selling Christmas decoration, raised 100 lv and donated to organisation.
We always have things/ situations that we don’t like, make us angry, challenge us and…this won’t stop. However, for me, changing my point of view to see what I am thankful for in these situations, has really helped me, inspired me and helped me grow (even though only spiritually, physically I am still 155 ?? )
How was your 2023 ?
Do you say “Thank you” often – to the people around you, the things that happen to you, to yourself ?

10 个月Celebrating the small wins! Absolutely! Journaling helped me to understand how important it is. -> I learned that conflicts can be constructive and helpful for the organization. -> I made time for myself. -> I was part of the daily events of Bilyana Savova and I recommend it 155% :) -> I invested time in reading, analyzing and building my habits. Now it's my topic ?? ??? Have a great year, Slaveya :) ???
