Being Socially Responsible!

Happiness is not so much in having as sharing. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

Life is about sharing things with everyone. Acting according to the quote, we from the SNS Institutions, as a part of Santa 365 activity organized an orphanage visit to the "Universal Peace Foundation" on 09/02/2023. All the students from the department of CSE, CST & CSD donated notebooks, stationery items, rice and other items to the orphanage. The students actively participated and donated whatever they can.

As an organizer, I and Rajaravishankar sir went to every class and announced the event. Each student donated at least a note & a pen. Especially, the first year students were highly enthusiastic. The highlight is that the class of I - CST apart from notebooks & pens donated a sack of rice (26 kg) as a whole. This kind of gesture from them made my day!

The total items that we donated are:

• Rice: 100+ kg
• Notebooks: 180+
• Pen, Pencils & other stationery items: 270+
• Bedsheets: 6

Apart from donating, the students voluntarily helped us in packing and organizing the donated items. The volunteers packed the things well and helped us load in the car. The whole process without them would have been very hectic to us without their help. This event as a whole wouldn't been a success without the help & support of the students, faculties and the department. Last but not least, I am really thankful to the SNS Management for providing us with this wonderful opportunity!
