Being Qualified vs Contextual Learning

I sometimes laugh at the idea of people prioritising "letters after their name", which is to say formal qualifications, either individuals wanting them or employers biasing their employment choices based on them (or a lack thereof). Fortunately the market is catching up with workplace learning where the stresses of examinations can be set aside in favour of actual contextual lessons.

John Howarth (who happens to be the chairman of the company I work for) has for a long time been driving this idea. His latest blog on the topic is available here: https://www.tannerjames.com.au/_blog/Tanner_James_Blog/post/are-your-programmes-and-projects-under-the-pump-with-no-time-for-classroom-learning/
