Being Present and Aware about Mental Health
Being Present and Aware about Mental Health
Mental Health is a fundamental aspect of our overall well-being. It is just as crucial as physical health and everyone deserves access to proper care and support which is one of the core objective of Mental Health Awareness Month.
A lot of people hesitates to reach out for support due to fear of judgment or lack of understanding. By giving importance of seeking professional help through Mental Health Awareness Programs, we can normalize the process of seeking therapy, counseling, or psychiatric care. Having facilities that gives access to hotlines and helplines through government and private institutions would also greatly help in providing immediate assistance to those in crisis.
In addition to individual support, workplaces and educational institutions could also lead in implementing policies and programs that prioritize mental health by conducting seminars and workshops on stress management, mindfulness training, or creating employee assistance programs that provide mental health resources and support. These efforts help create a more inclusive and supportive environment where individuals feel comfortable discussing their mental health concerns without fear of repercussions. Encouraging conversations about mental health will foster a more compassionate and understanding society and workplace environment.
One of our main advocacy in TendoPay is providing free mental health services to our employer partners through several seminars and webinars that all employees can have access to. This service also extends to free financial wellness and stress management programs as financial situation and stress of employees are main contributing factors on employee mental health.
