Being Positive while Being Negative - The Pandemic Way!

"The Year 2020" and "Covid 19" could be marked as two petrifying words that most of us have faced an unnerving experience of. On a lighter note, "Being Positive" has become fearsome while "Being Negative" has become comforting. In the early days of lockdown, it felt like the globe has been covered by an invisible virus that has created a tremendous panic around us and how we needed to adapt to a new lifestyle which most of us were ignorant of. I remember the days I went out with my friends for lunch or a coffee and I used to carry sanitizers and water bottles, little did I know that my lifestyle was adapted well in advance to manage todays situation. My friends still laugh it out and tell me that I was a visionary :)
Having said that, the initial days seemed very strenuous to adapt to being locked at home, to the silence on the roads, to the time slots to stack up essential things and sanitizing each and everything to combat those small particles that could sneak in anytime. But the positive side of this was the changing weather, the gorgeous puffy clouds that I actually witnessed after a long time, the much-needed breath of fresh air and above all those beautiful chirping birds. While all these things were changing, businesses went on a halt for a few days and we saw a change in the way organizations were adapting to this change.
Organizations have been in a state of uncertainty during the pandemic. Many organizations have re-assessed their requirements and prioritized them for the year. Each company is going through various experiences of the pandemic and they have faced the repercussions too. While conducting a small survey during the lockdown, I believe that basis the current situation, the industry dynamics have made the organizations rethink on how they spend their budget and engage employees during these tough times. A few companies are increasing their spend on trainings that include learning new technologies, customer centricity and awareness of policies, work ethics and compliances which build a strong base in this #NewNormal way of operating.
We at Formazione also pondered on various ideas to diversify our business to have an ability to reach out to the end users by conducting Virtual Instructor Led Training Sessions (also known as VILT) with our direct clients and with a few open batches. We started off with programs on Co Hosting and Virtual Facilitation, MS Teams, Resume Writing, Money Matters (Financial Workshop), POSH, Excel, Customer Service Experiences, Azure (Administration, Solution Architect, Security Administration and Solution Designing), Office 365 (Administration, Security, MS Teams and Exchange), SCCM, SCOM, Intune and a few more.
The pandemic has accelerated a massive digital transformation and adoption of newer ways of learning. This helped us diversify better and create a huge scope for the VILT sessions with some subject matter experts. Our participants had great things to talk about the training sessions and most of them spoke about the approach and the connect which was created even post training via WhatsApp groups to share case studies and articles and debate on a few topics too. Well with all that’s going around today, I take back a huge positive vibe for the last lap of 2020 and I wish all of us are Safe. (Picture Courtesy : Pexels and Formazione Technologica)
