My Value Proposition: Being a Positive Force of Good

Whether it's calendar Tetris, organizing the office into zen mode, planning employee all-hands meetings or being a dog mom, my purpose is to be a positive force of good in the world and it permeates everything I do.

When I was a kid and asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said, "Psychologist because I want to help people." But then Intuit saw my potential and put me in a role where I found my joy, my niche and my talent shined - being an admin!

Being an admin is like being a rockstar! I get to be the go to person, have all the answers (or learn them), get to know everyone, and make sh*t happen. I love to geek out on tasks, check things off lists, and know the details about everyone (yup, I know you hate cucumbers and prefer to sit on the left end because you're left-handed. I know you only use Papermate Sharpwriter pencils.) Put me on an event and it's next level... the hours fly by and I might as well be on cloud 9! "I get paid for this?!?"

Recently I was asked about my personal brand and my value proposition. Huh? How do you create a statement about yourself that shines the light on your assets, sounds confident but not arrogant, and explains you in a nutshell? How do I explain that I bring ALL of me to my career? If I told you that I ziplined across the Redwoods and then completed the trust fall off the zipline platform, would you understand the courage it took me to step outsize my comfort zone - and how that translates to success in the workplace?

So... Brand Statement aka Value Proposition? Challenge accepted! Here's what I came up with... and I have a feeling it will change over time.

Joyful and collaborative career Executive Assistant, Jenna is a positive force of good in the world, using her gifts of generosity, kindness, organization and event planning skills to make peoples' lives better. She brings a sleeves-rolled-up, get-it-done work ethic, and the wisdom to focus on what matters most. Her warmth and generosity have been defining leadership strategies in helping companies win by bringing out the best in people and cultivating relationships built on kindness, inclusion and mutual respect. Sci-Fi geek, gift whisperer, dog mom and champagne aficionado, she's fueled by real connections, authentic communication, teamwork, and a desire to leave the world a better place for her nephews.
