A circumstance comes your way that would make any sane person explode in anger. Whether you're dealing with a customer's unreasonable complaint that's getting on your nerves, dealing with an inexperienced new employee who is testing your patience, or standing in a check-out line for more than an hour.
A patient person is one who is calm and composed in all situations. The person who is bearing pains or trials without any complaint. They have thick skin and they don't have anxiety dealing the situations
You might have encountered a person whom you see and will always say that he never revolts whenever there is opposition or resistance. This is what makes this person different and come out of the crowd so easily that you can recognize them easily.
You can always try a little experiment where you give a kid a biscuit and say to them that you have to hold on to it for 10 minutes till the time you came back and you will give him/her another one if that biscuit is still not eaten.
Today we are forgetting as a culture to be patient because of the faster and faster services we want. With the technology Zenith age, we want everything in just a blink of an eye. Amazon has included drone tech to deliver as early as possible.
When I was a newbie to the Industry my mentor was very patient with me and not only he made me understand he also made me look the way to approach things. I think that it only matters how we should approach a problem. Answers exist and will come to you.
One interesting conversation happened during me being a mentee,
Mentor: How is your work going, can you send me the report?
Me: Sure, I will send it out by EoD
at 4 pm
Mentor: Can you please send me the progress report ?
While I was stuck with the work, not sure how to deal with that, and if sent it out that incomplete it would make the wrong impression.
Mentor(asking politely) : Are you able to complete the tasks or you are stuck?
Me: I am stuck with the solutions you gave me yesterday, not sure how to progress.

Then he helped me for at least 2 hours and explained it to me, making the basics clear.
I was very happy and very grateful to him for being a mentee of such a great mentor.
Now, what would have happened if he has not approached me with patience, it would be disastrous and I also would not want to carry on further. There downside to being impatient. It always results in resentment, stress, irrational arguments, and friction. Dealing with everything in patience has its upside always because you make a good relationship, you will be in peace, your energy will not wear out quickly and people will respect you and your decisions too.
Even though sometimes it may seem like our route is long and twisting, choosing patience will enable us to achieve serenity and happiness along the way. Nothing should be hurried or harsh.
Identifying the reason why you are impatient and your feeling would help in a long way to getting patient. Remember to approach the situation in other ways, I think there is always a chance of possibility.
In a corporate world, being patient will make you more professional and your communications will get better. You will attract more people and they will be willing to collaborate with you. You will get visiblity. All these are characteristics traits of a leader and you might be moving up the corporate ladder too.
Being Patient does not mean you should miss out the opportunities you think you should grab. Easy allowances should not be given directly to your employees. Be realistic too while being patient.
In the end, those who can wait frequently reap greater benefits. This implies that it is more crucial than ever to work on your patience.
