Being a Part of the International Student Association at Manhattanville

What I learned and the importance of being part of the finest of persons:

What I learned: There is not a difference of us what was taught by my colleagues of our Human Endeavor. What I learned is that each one of us from diverse backgrounds and various languages and so many different cultures all sought the same thing.

It was LOVE and Care of each of us. Our excitement to talk about ourselves and what were similar in our cultures and values. How We Are ALL in this great endeavor and hold the same things, but in different ways as important.

It didn't matter about our language or dress or ability to convey. It was this kind of understanding we all have amongst us as Human Beings. To try and reach one another, to recognize our History and to honor it, and to embrace it and talk about it, to SHARE it.

My Experience taught me to open myself compassionately and lovingly to Cultures, Understanding, People, Nations, and the exploration and embracing of persons and Their History in a personal way that I could have never arrived at from simply reading a book. This experience and personal connection helped drive my insatiable discovery to this day of peoples and cultures, and the discovery of such: How we are all connected.

I met through the International Student Union & Association some of the brightest, most kind and memorable persons. I remember them to this day.

I encourage every student at Manhattanville and others to engage and become a member of such organizations both off and on Campus and as Alumni.

I will be a lifelong memory.
