Being ourselves & feeling supported - Proud to be an ally

As an Ally, I am particularly pleased we re-launched Pride Ally training today. This year, we're encouraging each of us to reach out, support and understand one another, helping us all to be active allies and becoming a more inclusive organisation. We can do more. Be an active ally and don’t underestimate the difference you can make. Everyone can be an ally to facilitate an inclusive and safe environment where everyone feels respected and valued, and to make positive changes that will help others succeed. You can start by having a conversation in your part of the organisation to create a welcoming, open, and supportive environment for our colleagues and our customers. 

I am also proud to share Community Business, a leading not-for-profit organisation advancing responsive and inclusive business practices in Asia, just ranked HSBC number two in the 2021 Hong Kong Top Employers for LGBT+Inclusion. HSBC was also named one of the 12 organisations who have achieved the Gold Standard in the LGBT+ Inclusion Index which is a cross-industry accolade to benchmark corporate policies and practices for creating inclusive workplaces for LGBT+ employees.
