Being only person of color on a nonprofit Board

Our first Civil Society podcast on Diversity & Inclusion within nonprofits addresses the reality of far too many boards with no or few Board members of color. Bill Hopkins, Partner at Shackelford Bowen, McKinley & Norton law firm tells how it feel to be the only person of color on a Board and what can be done to increase diversity and inclusion within our nonprofit boards.

Civil Society is a 10 minute audio/ video podcast exploring provocative themes with people who are changing our nonprofit sector for the better.  It asks the real and tough questions that need to be addressed. Moderated by Barry Silverberg, Director, Center for Nonprofit Studies at Austin Community College.
