Is being nice, Nice?

In a world filled with rigid opinions and dichotomies, the true essence of being nice often gets misunderstood. The conventional definition of "nice" as pleasant and agreeable fails to capture its depth. To me, being nice means something more profound – it's about embodying compassion.
I am often confused on why should I conform to the narrow notions already set . I see the world in shades of gray, understanding both the right and wrong in everything. I can empathize with others, appreciating their complexities and struggles. Hence I don’t just see black, hence I see hope.
Some may misinterpret this empathy as weakness, but it actually bestows upon me a unique balance. I can approach situations with neutrality and seek to find solutions rather than dwell on problems.
So, the next time someone remarks that I am "too nice," I choose to take it as a compliment, for in my heart, being nice is synonymous with personifying compassion. It is my way of making the world a little brighter, one act of kindness at a time.
