Being a new-age woman entrepreneur

I have often been asked what it is like to be a woman entrepreneur.

Well for me it’s always about creating my own rules and working on something that I am passionate about.

Being a woman while leading multiple businesses and institutions also comes with its fair share of challenges. Defying social expectations is a part of it. Having to deal with presumptions, and perceptions and fighting those to reach for the top is what I do. The other challenge I face is balancing business and family life. Being a daughter, a wife and a mother of two young kids it sometimes becomes overwhelming to manage work. But for me, family always comes first and planning my work priorities around them is the key to success. (sometimes work does take over my life at home ??)

To all the budding women entrepreneurs, I would say that be proud of who you are and have confidence in your abilities. Hard work and perseverance are great equalisers. Be at it and one day you will surely achieve success.
