Being lazy and gaining weight is also a symptom of Covid-19 – Role of HR (Part -1)

An unexpected wild pandemic (Covid-19) has forced us (the humans) to change. For some it’s a gain and for others (who are expecting magic to happen in life), it’s a loss.

What did the pandemic really do to us?

It forced us to be with family?  it asked us to sit at home and eat homely food? it asked us to work from home? It asked us to wear mask and keep ourselves hygienic? what’s the real problem?

What I feel is, we all had a daily routine and the pandemic just disrupted it.

(Wake up by 7am, go for jogging, have breakfast with family, go to office by 9.00 am, travel to office, morning tea/smoke breaks, lunch jokes with friends and colleagues, sharing of special food, evening coffee breaks, and back to home by around 7:00 pm, travel, spend time with family , dinner with family and sleep.)

Before Covid we had a time table for everything which was majorly dependant on the work which we were doing but now after 5 months down the Covid we lost track of time.

Covid forced us to break our comfort zones and asked us to change and adapt to a new style of living.

“Change is constant” .Those who adapt to the new normal way of living would succeed and others, who feel they are gaining weight or being lazy are still under the attack of pandemic (emotionally)  because today or tomorrow they are going to get sick either with covid 19 or some other physical or mental illness.

The faster you change the healthier you become.

This is where human resources have a massive role to play.
