The present pandemic has led to sweeping changes and disruptions in almost all aspects of daily life. With mandates and guidelines changing all the time, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by our own anxieties. It is important to practice empathy during this time, not only for others but for yourself as well. Leaders around the globe are facing systemic, operational, and strategic challenges related to COVID-19 that are testing the limits of their and their organizations’ capabilities. In a volatile time like this, compassion is a critical competency for leaders and organizations to build resilience, deal with stress, and prevent burnout
Being kind and compassionate can help other people, and at the same time makes us feel good too. When we are kind, we inspire others to be kind, and it actually creates a ripple effect that spreads around the universe.
Make a stranger smile with an act of kindness. Always try to do your part and help make the world a kinder place. By showing a little more compassion, our world will be a happier place for all of us. So Challenge Yourself To Smile More.
The question that we should ask is How can I help, rather than What can I get. If we all did that the world would take such a different positive shape. Compassion gives us the ability to understand someone else's situation and the desire to take possible action to improve their lives.
Generosity can begin with just being kind. Simple, random acts of kindness. Being compassionate and kind is closely related to empathy. We need a combination of both empathy and compassion to be most helpful to people. Without these two things, it can be difficult to maintain a Healthy & Happy life with anyone and with anything. Therefore Empathy and compassion are needed in everyday life.
