Being GRATEFUL – the bottom line thinking
Let’s face it, no two days are the same, some days are up, some are down and some are a real mixture. But the question I think that needs to be asked is what is it that keeps people going, particularly when the going gets tough, and I think the bottom line to it all is to realise how grateful you should be for …well everything.
Some people meditate, pray or even simple wake up to give thanks to everyone, but the question we have to ask is what should we be grateful for? Here’s my list:
1. My parents for …..well having me!
2. My parents/family for their general (and often unknowing) guidance and support
3. My parents/family for all the things they did for me
4. My parents/family for all the things they didn’t do for me
5. My friends for being human
6. The work people around me for listening to me and giving me a chance
7. The work people around me for not listening to me and not giving me a chance (strange but true!)
8. The good people I have come across and the short interludes of laughter had
9. The bad people I have come across and the short interludes of negative/bad energy they left behind (yes strange but true)
10. The universe and all that it brings to me daily and giving me the energy to deal with it
So, these are my big ten.
If we come from the gratitude point, we are at least starting off each day, humble and on the right foot.
2018 is coming, so what are you grateful for?
