Being Direct Wins...
In Recruiting details either move you to the winner's circle or the losers lair faster than you can blink.?You can't ask the same question enough because things change daily.?We are humans.?Things change daily.?You have to question the "Yes" as much as the "No" meaning anything that seems to align still needs to be further explored in depth.?There is no quick and dirty.?There's only a dirty mess if you're quick.?So why do most of us out there know this but still play scratch ticket recruiting??Is it because you don't want to annoy someone? Is it because you don't want to seem aggressive? Is it because you feel uncomfortable asking questions??Is it because you don't know any better? It's probably a shade of one of these and that is OK. It's OK.?But, if you want to be consistent you're going to have to figure out a way to get yourself to just ask the questions you & your customers need you to ask.
Listen, my title is what it is because I have lost so many times.?I'm not saying DIRECT in an insensitive or rude way, but rather just being as direct/black and white as you can be while still being YOU.?Part of this game is asking the questions your competitors don't want to ask, but your clients need you to ask.?Thorough is a good thing not an annoying. You need the answers to organize peoples time efficiently so the individuals you work with and your clients win together.?
Resumes have never filled job openings, it's the people and everything that comes along with them that do...
Go get'em!
