Being Count-On-Able is essential for your success. This is something that I have learned and seen for myself and my clients companies. It takes trust, effective communication and alignment between leaders and their teams to build a successful business. That level of commitment has risks that many leaders do not plan for and haphazardly puts their family in the 2nd most important position in their lives. That unintended shift from family first to family second can be the most expensive error you would make.?
While the rewards of a successful business can be great and the intention you’ll have is to do it for your family, you may be missing out on the possibility of closeness you want with your spouse and children. Just ask yourself if your 3 year old or 30 year old would rather know you were working on Sunday for them or if they’d rather be on a picnic with you. Be aware of the potential cost to you personal life.
I have taken risks and made sacrifices in order to achieve my goals. I have made unfortunate choices in my life that has cost me dearly with my family and I invite you to notice that before the cost in your life is too high. If this sounds like it could be you, now is the time to share that. The time to shift your behavior is now, can I help?
