Being content doesn't mean we can't be ambitious.

Being content doesn't mean we can't be ambitious.

Being content doesn't mean we can't be ambitious.
Being content doesn't mean we can't be dissatisfied.
Being content should simply mean we only remain discontent with discontentment itself!

See, ambition is a tricky word. Some feel that it can keep us so busy that it can take us away from our 'now' and put us at risk of forgetting who we are. Some feel that if we are content, we are at risk of losing ambition.

For me, everything needs to be contextualized. Everything starts with our inner communications. How we feel about ourselves, how we perceive ourselves, how we allow (or refuse to allow) external factors to influence our inner equilibrium, which also determines how we communicate with the external world, and this also influences our relationships.

If we are content within ourselves (the caveat being that we have understood and discovered our true selves, established our 'why', and identified our values, purpose, and passions), we understand there are certain things in life we are able to change, certain things we should change and certain things which we can't change, and certain things we shouldn't even try to change.

Once we have reached this level of consciousness, we are able to accept uncontrollable turbulence whilst ever remaining faithful to our ambitions, within the framework of our values, purpose, and passions.

The only discontentment we should feel is with discontentment itself, in whichever forms it may surface.

We possess the ability to change, so change we should.
