Being In Business Isn't Always a Bed of Roses
How are things going in your business? I've actually been going "through a thing" lately, and now that I'm on the other side of it, I thought maybe I should just go ahead and share it with you. Maybe you're going through the same thing? Or can relate?
Things have been going extremely well for me in my business, so that's been great! If you don't know my story, I quit my full-time job last October to really be able to focus on building my own business. And it's been glorious! So fun to devote all my time to what I love doing!
But over the last month or so, I've been feeling really ... uncomfortable I guess! When I think about it, that's pretty much the best way to describe it. But I kept trying to "sit with it" because I don't ever feel like that. So it was kind of freaking me out as in, "What is this? What's happening?", but I really don't like to give energy to those kind of thoughts so I just tried to ignore them or "sit with them" ... whatever that really means.
The other day, I was on a call with my mentor. Yes! Even though I'm a coach, I, too, have a mentor and coach. I honestly believe you need one if you're going to grow. We need someone that's done what we want to do, who has learned things we want to learn, and who will be there to support us when we start doubting ourselves and can't figure out why! (And to call us on our sh*t!)
Ok, so I was on a call with her, and honestly, I was trying to ignore how I was feeling, and just talk to her about what I was working on when suddenly I just started talking about how I was feeling really uncomfortable, and I didn't know why, and blah blah blah suddenly I realized ... I was just freaking MYSELF out because I was about to do something I'd never done before! (stay tuned ... I've created something super cool that I think you're going to love!!)
The reason I'm telling you this is because it actually made me stop and think about how you might be feeling. Are you trying really hard to build your business, or take it to the next level, or trying to seriously build your business online and finding it overwhelming?
I totally get it! Trying to attract people into your business is not easy! And I have to say ... I am so grateful I made the decision to invest in myself and get the mentorship, training, and coaching I needed to grow my business. I would not be where I am today without it.
