BEING BLACK IS NOT A CRIME

BEING BLACK IS NOT A CRIME

I have seen a great deal in my almost 65 years of living. I saw racism at its highest, so I thought, back in the 70s, 80’s and 90’s while working in corporate America. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that things could ever get worse than then but here we are. Black and Brown people are endangered by white hatred. What is the real issue? In my opinion its all about power and making sure that white people always have control, no matter what the cost.

I am a Christian Woman and I love everybody. I make it my business to encourage, uplift and inspire all people on a daily basis. Do I put more emphases on black and brown people, absolutely, because of what we have to deal with on a daily basis. It doesn’t mean I don’t love all people because I do.

This hatred for black and brown people has to stop but I honestly don’t see an end in sight. I already know that there will be those that will bring up black on black crime, and yes that is an issue as well but when you lose hope, life has no real meaning. When you know that people are plotting to take all your rights away, voting, making decisions on your own bodies, changing the laws and rules to favor one race over others… what is there to look forward to?

I will not give up on encouraging my people, no matter what it looks like. My faith in God is solid and I will always pray for equality and justice for all Gods people not just a select few.

God is still in control!!!!!!

Thank you for giving a voice to never-ending cycle of racial abuse. I don't know when it will end. I pray that it will. Maybe not in my lifetime. Perhaps in the lives of my nieces and nephews.
