Being the best version of YOU!
We live in a period where we are privy to the lives of so many people around us. Whether it be celebrities, friends or family, we sometimes unintentionally start visualizing their lives as being better than our own. We aspire to be like people we feel have it all and start to imitate some of their behaviour. However, in this conquest to be like someone else, we lose our purpose in being the best version of ourself.
1. Set Goals
Discipline is important if you are to achieve your dreams. Have a set of small goals for the week, month as well as long term goals to achieve. As you tick your set of smaller goals, you'll find that you're long term goals are within your reach as well.
2. Compare yourself to no one but yourself
The longer you compare yourself to others the more unhappy you'll be. Be your own competition. Each day try to push past the limits of your previous self. You are the only you, so stop comparing your unique self to others.
3. Find the right crowd
Your tribe defines your vibe, so find the right people that will help push you to be the person you want to be. You cannot grow to your fullest potential unless you have the right people around cheering you on.
4. Find yourself
One of the most important tasks in every human's life is to find themselves and accept who they are. Most reject who they are and attempt to create a false identity within. This leads to a lot of inner turmoil. In the sanctity of your own mind and personal space, you should list down every attribute of your true self and be as honest as possible. Only once you know your weaknesses can you hope to overcome it.
5. Learn to say NO
In our quest to be the best versions of ourselves we need to learn to say NO to things that may adversely impact our growth and inner peace. It can be avoiding toxic company, tasks that are detrimental to our conscience or things that make us uncomfortable and divert us from our focus.
6. Be Independent
In order to elevate ourselves, we must be willing to do all the hard work. If you expect someone else to step in and do it for you, you'll never truly succeed. You will then develop an unhealthy attachment and expect the person to keep fulfilling you.

4 年Absolutely right!! Most of our lives we get influenced by others, we tend to devalue ourselves thinking we are no better than the rest when the truth is that we all are born to be great!!
