Being Ambitious
Are we not all for something ?
Seven weeks ago, Bruno, Christophe & I cycled from Manchester to London to raise funds for Ambitious About Autism. They do a fantastic job to help & support autistic kids + young adults.
We started early morning shortly after 6 am and made it to London when the sun hat set already. Bruno & Christophe's legs were stronger than mine. That doesn't matter much at all. The plan was to reach the capital in one piece and raise funds for the cause. All participants agreed to raise 750 GBP each. Since I have started riding these 220 miles (354 km) in a day I am wondering which is more difficult: crossing the finish line or raising the funds.
During the briefing the day before the ride, we have learned, a day in Tree House School, a school made for the needs of people affected by autism, costs 600 GBP per kid. This is one example of what this institution does and what money can do.
Look into the new week tomorrow and think: let us give one child a week filled with care, joy, learnings and smiles. That is all to have for 3'000 GBP. If you like that aim and can add something to the cause, you have the opportunity to do it through this link. Looking at the amount makes clear how much every contribution counts, small like bigger ones.
Thank you very much to all of you !
