Being an agile leader means more than just hiring consultants and reorganizing your team into pods. Real agile leaders are those that are living the values and principles of agility.

Serve the Team.

Often an agile adoption starts when, as a leader, you recognize some level of dysfunction among your team. That may show up as a lack of accountability. It may show up as not getting enough work done. But ultimately there are typically underlying factors that are impacting your team's effectiveness. As you work to move teams from dysfunctional to effective it may still feel like they just aren’t “getting it.”

As a leader, you intuitively lead, and while you think you’re setting up all of the right processes and giving your team opportunities to work in different ways, your team is still looking to you for permission to actually?be?different. Maybe the problem, is you?
