BEHIND THE VEIL with Michelle - Online Stylist

Come 'Behind the Veil' with us as we ask our employees what it's like to work at Grace Loves lace. Here's what Michelle, one of our Online Stylists, had to say:

1. Tell us your name and a brief summary of your career journey with GRACE so far!

Hello, there! My name is Michelle and I'm an Online Stylist based in the United States. I love meeting brides from all over the world and guiding them in finding their dream gown completely virtually!

2. Tell us more about your role and what you do.

As an Online Stylist, I strive to provide the best possible virtual experience to brides who forgo showroom appointments. You can reach me instantly via our online chat! When I have a break in chats, you can find me responding to emails within our general inbox, or following up with brides via email, phone, or even virtual appointment!

3. If you could describe yourself in 3 words or less, what would they be?

Creative, empathic, and enthusiastic.

4. What do you love about working at GRACE?

I love my incredibly supportive "Dream Team"! We Online Stylists are located all over the world (London, Australia, etc.) and it's so great to catch up with each other when our shifts cross over. I also love that I'm currently located nearby our Chicago showroom. Whenever I visit our wonderful Chicago Showroom Stylists, I always feel so reinvigorated because of everyone's palpable energy and enthusiasm!

5. Tell us about your favourite memory at GRACE.

My favorite memory at Grace is the 2022 holiday party that the Chicago Showroom team graciously invited me to! We attended zoolights (a night time event at the zoo, where we adventured around viewing the beautiful Christmas lights, sipping mulled wine), and then had such a delicious dinner afterwards. It was so great catching up with everyone and taking a break from the usual holiday stress!

6. What inspires you about coming to work at GRACE?

I am inspired by my team, the culture, and of course, the beautiful designs of our bridal gowns. I'm a creative at heart, and am always in awe of the construction of each gown!

7. What is your favourite GRACE value and why?

My favorite GRACE value is "Authentic". I believe we are all sincerely our best selves when we are driven by our true passions and beliefs!

8. Which GRACE gown is your favourite?

My favorite GRACE gown currently is the lovely Carmen! She exudes playfulness, romance, and luxury from her artful construction. She's the perfect gown to dance the night away!

9. What virtues do you admire most in the people you work with?

My team is incredibly supportive, genuinely kind, and patient. We are always there to help each other improve, celebrate each others' wins, and lend a helping hand without thinking twice!

10. What is something you are passionate about, either in your career or outside of it?

I am passionate about fashion design and dancing! When I'm not working, I am either sketching up my very own designs, learning something new in sewing class, or having a blast in the dance studio!

11. How do you unwind after work?

After work, I'm either on my way to sewing or dance class, jogging along the trail near my apartment, or hanging out with my roommates! :)
