Meet Dr. Lisa Restine, a passionate advocate for feline health and a valued Hill’s Pet Nutrition team member.

Dr. Restine's journey began in New Jersey, where her lifelong love for cats, beginning with her family's cats, inspired her career path. As a veterinary technician in high school, she earned a reputation for her dedication to feline care. Dr. Restine attended Rutgers University and completed her Bachelor's degree in animal science. While attending university, she spearheaded a local Trap-Neuter-Return program. Today, one of the kittens she helped during the program 15 years ago is a senior member of her family.?

After graduating, Dr. Restine pursued her dream at the Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in California, focusing her extracurricular activities on feline medicine. Her expertise grew further during nearly a decade at a feline-only veterinary hospital in south Texas, culminating in board certification in feline medicine with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She has lectured nationally and internationally on feline topics in addition to her journal publications. She was an associate editor of the 5th edition of “The Feline Patient” and is currently a co-editor of the 6th edition of this textbook, which is set to be published in 2025.?

Driven by a passion for education and innovation, Dr. Restine joined Hill’s Pet Nutrition as Associate Manager of Professional Veterinary Affairs - Feline after nearly 10 years of clinical practice. Her personal success story with Hill’s Prescription Diet underscores her belief in the brand's impact on pet health.

Now based at the Hill's headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas, Dr. Restine continues to advocate for feline health globally, leveraging her expertise to enhance Hill’s contribution to the veterinary community and pet owners worldwide.
