Hello Loic! Could you give us an overview of your role and what it involves on a daily basis?

As the Smart City Administrative Manager, along with my team, we supervise the day-to-day operations essential to the functioning of Beau Plan as a Smart City. Additionally, I contribute advisory input in discussions concerning future projects in the region.

Thus, my schedule is divided between strategic and project-oriented meetings, as well as the operational duties associated with managing owners' associations, Smart City infrastructure, security and construction guidelines.


How do you collaborate with other departments?

The Smart City Administration and the Facility & Asset teams collaborate closely with other departments within Novaterra to ensure the efficient management and maintenance of Beau Plan.

  • Sales and Marketing team: Our Sales team coordinates closely with the Smart City Administration/syndic team to cultivate client relationships. Feedback exchanged between these departments helps to continually bolster investor confidence in Beau Plan.
  • Development team: As our team ultimately assumes responsibility for all new projects, whether infrastructure or built-up areas, we are involved in every phase of project planning and execution to ensure thoroughness and excellence in project delivery.
  • Land Management and permits team: We rely heavily on this team to confirm building setbacks and coordinate permit allocation with local government authorities.
  • Finance and Accounts team: This team ensures timely remuneration for our valued contractors and partners, and effective management of association accounts in accordance with best practices and protocols.

What obstacles or challenges do you encounter and how do you manage them?

The task of managing a rapidly expanding Smart City presents a multitude of challenges. Our team oversees the maintenance of both new and existing Smart City infrastructure and associations, serving as the intermediary between owners, service providers, insurance firms, and the Smart City development company.

This role requires us to provide ongoing feedback to facilitate continuous planning for future development stages. Thus, our challenges extend beyond asset maintenance to include attentive observation and responsiveness to the needs of Beau Plan owners and users. This aspect, in particular, demands a significant amount of empathy and consideration.

Can you share a recent accomplishment or project that you are particularly proud of?

There have been numerous projects, making it difficult for me to focus on just one. Aside from the commendations we've received for our effectiveness, professionalism, and thoroughness in setting up and managing various owners' associations, we recently achieved another milestone.


We successfully initiated a significant CCTV project in Beau Plan, aiming not only to bolster current security measures but also to contribute to the overall upkeep of the city. Our state-of-the-art AI-driven CCTV network, equipped with cameras and a central control hub, has facilitated the rapid identification of security breaches, illegal parking, violations of construction regulations, littering, and other operational challenges commonly encountered in a modern 'Smart City'.

Through collaborative efforts with our intervention team, we've efficiently tackled these issues, making considerable progress in optimizing city operations.
