Iraq-Afghanistan: 7000 KIA - 7000+ Contractors KIA Not Counted - Estimated 300,000 Veterans Suicides, 44/day, since 911. More US contractors have died in Afghanistan than US troops — but the Pentagon doesn't keep track
A report from the Costs of War project at Brown University revealed that 20 years of post-9/11 wars have cost the U.S. an estimated $8 trillion and have killed more than 900,000 people. -- Costs of the 20-year war on terror: $8 trillion and 900,000 deaths: Brown University, 1 September 2021.

Today, we are reading stories about:
Iran being appointed to a leadership role within the U.N. Human Rights Council today, as one of the country’s diplomats was tapped to lead the body’s “Social Forum.”
The Arab League voting to bring Bashar al-Assad back into the fold, providing direct financial and material support of Russian joint military command with Assad and state sponsor of terrorism Iran.
Farhana Qazi Syria (2011-present) -- One million killed, chemical attacks on civilian populations, torture and rape of women and children, by Russian joint military command with the NCTC classified state sponsors of terrorism Iran and Syria.
Did anyone read the 2014 Syria UN Torture Report on Children?
“They kept them [hanging] there for 10 to 15 minutes. Some didn’t die because they are light. For the young ones, their weight wouldn’t kill them. The officers’ assistants would pull them down and break their necks,” said a former judge who witnessed such events. -- Mubin Shaikh -- SME, Radicalization & Terrorism Subject Matter Expert.
“Rape of women and girls was documented in 20 government political and military intelligence branches, and rape of men and boys was documented in 15 branches,” the U.N. war crimes investigators said. -- Thousands of women, men, children raped in Syria's war - U.N. report: Reuters, 15 March 2018.
Last night on the CMA Awards we had a chance to hear Dolly Parton sing about a World On Fire. Well CMA Artist H-II is the one that has been trying to put it out, since 2011, all by himself.

Conflict Resolution at the Tip of The Spear
Healing - Breaking a Cycle of Dysfunction
Once you reach those trying to heal from combat trauma, stress and moral injury (Afghans or Montagnards), we have to face promises made, then broken, leaving those abandoned to be executed and failure of our national security strategy.
We talk about suicide and crisis intervention, but we ignore discussions about the root cause of the problem, and after we allow a situation to blow up into a crisis or we are encouraged by a theatrical production, (Last Out) we finally sit down and have the opportunity to discuss a solution oriented focus, like human rights and legitimacy in training and advisory mission, civil affairs as a prioritization, and VSO:SSTR:FID.
28 April 2023
Expanding the prioritization of Human Rights and Legitimacy in Training and Advisory Mission, Civil Affairs into every COCOM, Stabilization, Security, Transition and Reconstruction (SSTR) in a Comprehensive Approach Framework as a foundational priority for strategically minded enlisted leaders.
Afghanistan: Opium cultivation up nearly a third, warns UNODC.

The Taliban and Al-Qaeda looked upon the illegal narcotics trade as a way of fighting Western countries by draining their resources when they tried to fight an endless and unwinnable battle against the Drug Lord's and Taliban and Al-Qaeda network that covered the whole Middle-East and beyond. The aim of the Taliban and Al-Qaeda was to flood Western countries with Afghan heroin, from London to Paris to New York. -- Honour Bound: Anthony Stephen Malone (Rogue Warrior), Loc 2342-2350, Kindle Edition.

Our intelligence, military and political leaders are shameful for letting this happen. -- P.L, Ex Green Beret, Lawyer, Lecturer.
Sayar Sirat, an Afghan Special Forces member was kidnapped, tortured & killed by the Taliban yesterday. His hands and legs were amputated in the prison.
Prisons in Afghanistan have been transformed into slaughterhouses. Prisoners are being subjected to electric shocks, amputation of limbs such as hands, feet, genitalia & dozens other horrible tortures. -- Dr. Fayeza Fayez
As a PMSC, CEO, HRI:H-II OPSEC, and Chaplain that has mediated Civil Affairs focused advocacy education initiatives for Afghanistan, since 2011, I can only say that mental stress associated with these events is overwhelming.
As a Country Music Association artist, I have also worked hard to gain the support of the arts and entertainment industry in the mission of VSO:SSTR in a Comprehensive Approach Framework.
It is critical for Stabilization and Security to be prioritized in countries under terrorist occupation or classified as failed, failing or fragile states (over 130). Only then, can we establish long term strategic plans for Transition, Reconstruction and oversight, via a long term NATO NSHQ:CIMIC support system. This needs to be a doctrinal priority.
Case Study # 2 - Mosul
The battle had taken nine months, or 252 days. Casualty numbers were extremely difficult to assess, with estimates of ISIS fighters killed in the thousands.
Mosul as one city, is a microcosm of allowing the terrorist factions Taliban, Al Qaeda and ISIS to take over control of the entire country of Afghanistan, now armed with the most advanced U.S. weapons technologies. The call for counterterrorism operations was advanced on 15 August 2021, the moment actionable intelligence was available on the Afghan government being overthrown.
Today, those who have survived after the withdrawal of VSO, are key to counterterrorism operations on the village, city/regional level. The longer the terrorists are allowed to embed themselves in the civilian populations, the harder it will be to accomplish the objective of VSO:SSTR:FID, the new global focus in our current International Humanitarian and Security Emergency.
Right now, key government officials, key players within the educational system, and humanitarian relief organizations are being directly targeted. Of utmost importance is members of the Afghan judiciary that had convicted the terrorists that were released from the prisons. These judges and government officials are being specifically hunted and targeted.
Those released by Assad in Syria, joined forces with Saddam's former Baathist leaders and forces, to form ISIS. The devastation caused by allowing this spiral is itself incomprehensible. Allowing the takeover of an entire country is 100X mosul and global coordinated counterterrorism must be immediate and proportional to the national security threat now impacting all 193 UN member countries.

Global Friends of Afghanistan stop the US efforts to normalizing relationships with the Taliban Terror Regime. -- Lt. Col. Scott Mann
This definitely has to be shut down. It would be adding a horrible insult on top of the horrendous damage caused by the botched pull out of Afghanistan. The pullout that left 13 servicemen dead, thousands more afghans murdered and women and girls pushed back to the Stone Age. That is the women and children who were not raped and murdered. - Col. Doug Hurst
I've been pushing this campaign since 2014, when cut and run was advanced as a policy focus, VSO ended, village leaders and male populations that supported the Green Berets and allied forces executed, and bargaining began to normalize relations with the Taliban (negotiations to prevent attacks). Now 10 years later, after the picture blows up, becuause no one stood up for VSO, everyone is crying.... we needed you 10 years ago.
“You break it, you own it.” - General Colin Powell
The terrorist attacks on September 11 underscored the necessity for serious and constant discussions about American civic values and their compatibility with other cultures.

Chaplaincy Support
For those who don't know, I am also a licensed ministry chaplain, running the national campaign for the SAMHSA 988 Suicide and Crisis Infoline.
Why a Chaplain? 7000 U.S. Active Duty + 8000 Contractors KIA, hundreds of thousands more wounded in combat, estimated 300,000 Veterans/Active Duty Suicides since 911, 44/day, left behind.
Over 7,000 U.S. service members have died in the post-9/11 warzones of Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and elsewhere. Their deaths have affected a large community of parents, spouses, children, siblings, and friends. Afghan, Iraqi, and other allied military and police deaths have been even more extensive.?Western allies of the U.S. also have borne significant human costs in the post-9/11 wars.
Hundreds of thousands more United States and allied service members have been wounded in combat or have died indirectly as a result of injuries sustained in the war zones. The U.S. military suicide rate, historically low, has climbed significantly since 2004: four times as many service members have died by suicide than in combat in the post-9/11 wars, signaling a widespread mental health crisis.?
Because the U.S. military recruits heavily from low income and minority communities, and the states that send the most troops to war are often the poorest states in the nation, certain U.S. states and towns have borne higher human costs than others.
Thousands of private contractors have also died in the wars while providing logistical and security support to U.S. troops. The U.S. government does not thoroughly report contractor deaths, their families are often not compensated for their deaths and injuries, and contractor health care is generally substandard. Foreign workers for U.S. contracting firms often do not have their deaths recorded or compensated.?
