Behind the Magic Waterfall
Adults they cannot go there,
they’ve grown too old and slow,
to see the magic waterfall,
which only children know.
With pirate ships and comic books,
and candies they adore,
that special place had all these treats,
till Age did close the door.
Adult imagination, it is so stale and dry,
while children have no boundaries,
their minds can soar and fly.
Perhaps we can get back there,
if we could be so bold,
the waterfall must still exist,
but now the water’s cold.
But there are other paths,
which we can take
around the frozen lake.
Just hold my hand and we’ll be warm,
do not my love forsake.
Our journey’s not yet over,
though now we travel slow,
together we’ll find waterfalls,
with magic yet to show.
