Claire Trythall, excellent article. This year I have validated mortgage prepayment models and deposit runoff models. You mention in your article, "it is essential for banks to regularly review and update their behavioural models to ensure their continued relevance and accuracy." I think this is absolutely critical to ensuring the models do not result in erroneous decision making. I have a good view of how things are done in the United States, but my visibility into how things are done internationally is practically non-existent. How often are behavioral models reviewed in the UK? When, and under what criteria, do you determine a model needs to be tuned, re-estimated, or pulled from service in the UK? Is there even a difference between how things are done in the US versus the UK?
