When it comes to team dynamics, many factors are responsible for different observed behaviors amongst the teams.
- Need for Affiliation:?Being human, this is the most common observed behavior for the need to connect or amalgamate. This shall be observed in the initial phase of team introduction.
?2. Need for Achievement:?This is when the work begins and everyone wants to prove their competencies at work. ex. Marketing, IT, Finance etc. This is 2nd???phase of team formation.
?3. Need for Power:?This is when the individuals want to exercise their power to maintain leadership positions. This is somewhat the later stage of Team mixing.
The?Four-drive theory explains four fundamental drives?identified from earlier psychological, sociological, and anthropological research. These drives are:
- ?Drive to acquire.?
- ?Drive to bond.?
- ?Drive to comprehend.
- Drive to defend
