GOOGLE COMPLIES WITH EU REGULATORS IN WAKE OF ANTITRUST FINE:

Google promised to take steps to ensure the search engine does not favor its own shopping services over others. The tech giant was hit with a record $2.9 billion fine from the EU in June, and has until midnight Tuesday to detail plans on how it will stop these practices and create unbiased search engine results. Google has until Sept. 28 to put these plans in place.

SHOWTIME HIT WITH LAWSUIT OVER POOR MAYWEATHER / MCGREGOR STREAMS:

Showtime may be in some major legal trouble after the Mayweather/McGregor fight aired with grainy video and with buffering streams. In a class action lawsuit for "unlawful trade practices and unjust enrichment," customers are alleging that the network didn't secure the proper bandwidth for streaming the fight and didn't warn subscribers ahead of time or during the feed. The complaint seeks $200 in damages for each member of the suit, double what the actual paid stream cost. Showtime's senior vice president of sports communications says the network will accept complaints from anyone who watched through Showtime's PPV website or app, but otherwise all other complaints should be addressed by viewers' cable providers.

TWITTER TOUTS NEW NFL LIVE SHOW

The NFL's new live show streams on Twitter Tuesday night. The 30-minute program is called #NFLBlitz, and will air Mondays through Thursdays at 7 pm ET. Amazon outbid Twitter for the rights to stream NFL games this season. The Amazon deal is worth about $50 million, up from the $10 million Twitter paid for the deal last season. Twitter has tried to replace the NFL deal with other live sports content.
