Background of “In The Box” Knowledge Series
The knowledge series was created by Boxplay Ventures, an Accra-based Start-up & SME consultant and venture builder. Boxplay is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and building the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem in Ghana and on the continent.
The LinkedIN Live event series aimed at exchanging insights and contextual knowledge in the African entrepreneurial and venture-building ecosystem based on real needs of entrepreneurs, ecosystem enablers and investors that we encounter regularly in the course of our work. Storytelling and pitching are essential for entrepreneurs. In this episode, we bring together an expert panel that understands both the perspectives of entrepreneurs and investors and the overall importance and nuances of creating a compelling story.

Ifeoma Nwobu is a multidimensional, faith-based entrepreneur. Currently the Co-Founder & COO of Sendstack , a startup maximizing technology to simplify logistics for African businesses, she plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of the company by driving customer acquisition, retention & building out high-performing teams.
Leah is the Accelerator Lead at ALX Ventures, a subsidiary of Sand Technologies . She spearheads initiatives that develop, connect, and fund tech startups across Africa. Previously, she played a pivotal role in expanding Growth Africa’s footprint into the West African Market, where she managed country operations for three years. Her portfolio included over 18 startups, and she excelled as an Operational Growth Advisor. contributing significantly to the success of African entrepreneurs scaling their businesses.
Ernest Osei is a seasoned advisory expert with global expertise. He also serves as the Senior Manager for International Market Development at Qintess , a digital engineering company with 3,000+ employees globally. At Qintess, he leads corporate development and M&A. Through his career, Ernest has been a key member in high-value deals of over EUR 250 million and has been recognized for his experience in complex cross-border transactions. Ernest has a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting and Corporate Tax from Mohammed V University, Rabat, Morocco. He is a certified Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst from the Corporate Finance Institute and has an Investment Foundation Certificate from the CFA Institute. Ernest is fluent in English, French and Portuguese.
Andrew Aryee is currently the Head of Venture Programs at Innov8 Hub , Abuja, where he offers strategic guidance and business development support to innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs in translating innovative ideas into sustainable businesses towards achieving both societal impact and economic viability. Formerly, Andrew served as the Head of the Competence Centre for Energy and Environment at the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria. Andrew led key initiatives, including power-to-x, solar-powered solutions, and smart irrigation systems, making substantial contributions to the expansion of investment opportunities in clean energy, water, circular economy sectors, and climate innovations. With over 8 years of experience, Andrew has been instrumental in various projects within the sustainable energy and environmental sectors in West Africa, particularly in Nigeria and Ghana. His expertise includes conducting extensive energy and environmental market analyses, facilitating policy dialogues between the private sector and government stakeholders, and providing strategic business advisory services for international businesses seeking expansion in the West African subregion.
