Beginning to fray? Throw it away! As soon as your toothbrush bristles start to wear down or fray, replace your toothbrush with a new one because the bristles need to be very straight to have a greater ability to remove biofilm. Use a soft toothbrush to avoid gingival abrasion.
I've heard the colored bristles will turn all white, fraying could mean brushing to hard and could cause gum trauma...
