Aim is something you are hoping to achieve by doing something like it could be to serve the people of your area.
Ambition is something that you very much want to achieve in your future career. Like if your aim is to serve the people, you could be a doctor with an ambition to go to a medical school. Or even you could be a teacher to serve the people.
Ambition could be a bit more specific if your aim is specific too. Like your aim could be like serving people through medical treatment. Now you can be a doctor to give a better treatment with no cost or reasonable cost. And, here is the first catch. When you are talking about it, you were in very early age. Many situation might happen and might turn be difficult to be the exact thing that you were thought of. Like, you might not be eligible for taking the science major in school or even you might not like the biology subject at all. You might have faced problem in memorizing different medical terms or even you don’t get admission in public medical college and your family can`t afford the cost of education of private one. Are you not getting frustrated as your “aim” has changed? If or if not, let`s go back a bit again.
If your aim to serve people by medical treatment, your option to choose for taking as an ambition is not limited to become a doctor only but also you could be a businessman who could establish a medical center or you could work in the management of any medical institution instead. Whatever the path you choose, your aim is still the same. You are reaching it one way or another.
In a nutshell, what are the takeaways?
a) Aim is basically the broader perspective of your life, something connected with the purpose.
b) To reach the aim, there could be multiple pathways that you might fix as the ambition.
c) Have Plan B and Plan C ready to reaching out the aim.
Are you all agreeing with the logical explanation that I have provided? If not ask me your question. And I don’t know but I am asking myself again when I look back, what if I choose the wrong aim or even I don’t know what really the aim is? Most students are struggling with it, right? Write it down just to get good marks in the examination, right?
Think for 5 minutes and ask the same question to you and find the responses. Put your thoughts here and the let the discussion begin.

3 年This is an amazing article. I would say an organized and clear thought about this sensitive issue.. I totally agree with you. But most often people aim not to serve people only but to be in a respected place like "Doctor/University teacher" What to do when we don't get the chance? How should we think in this situation ??
