Right off the bat, the pain of loss always hurts, whether people or things.
We certainly have choices to make, sometimes under pressure or not but at some point a decision needs to be made about what to do next.
Some may argue that inaction is a decision I would contest saying inaction is just a coping mechanism to deal with the pain.
Please don’t get me wrong, the level of pain could be so high that the capacity to process the situation is blocked or severely affected.
Having said the above, there is a very effective approach to deal with the pain and subsequent decision the caveat though is that it takes time to learn it.
What is that approach?
Reflect beyond the pain.
When we give ourselves permission to make the time and reflect on whatever the painful situation is, we certainly gain extraordinary perspective (beyond our own perception) from which we can ask great questions that can lead us to a profound meaning and therefore the decisions and actions we embark to take are far more effective and emotionally beneficial in such a level that definitively will bring give growth in your life.
