It's the last day of our industry's biggest marketing event. Most people think it's about manipulating people, but it's really about both improving various business practices and telling a different story.
There are no guarantees and while there may be similarities, everyone that succeeds applies their own personality.
The last few days have showcased many inspiring stories, just as many colossally stupid examples of bad service (just listen in horror to how your phones are answered and what is said), and much more confusion or oddities.
Most people are hung over waiting to listen to the last big speaker. Meanwhile I'm a sore, starving marvin, hoping to have lost a couple of pounds - focused on going through the notebook of experiments.
That's what they are - oh they are proven but you have to experience them "as is" before you dare try to change the recipe. The toughest part is figuring out what works for you and your business which is never simple or obvious.
It's a long game and most people don't have the mental or emotional strength to deal, eventually just giving up.
Remember. Compare yourself to the you that you were yesterday and not others.
Like Walt Disney said, stop talking and begin doing.
