Watching or knowing news updates on Covid19 is not wrong but being constantly involved in it and panicking is not worth. Your immunity starts declining not only from the unhealthy food on your plate and other habits but also the pressure of negative thoughts. So, kill corona in your minds and actions following an Ayurveda lifestyle. This in turn build resistance to diseases and provides longevity
Wake up with birds! Yes, early to bed effects early to rise. Start your day with a glass of half lemon squeezed water before any other beverages. The days 50 % of vitamin C is almost grabbed.
Bend your body doing exercise, release your extra calories. Practice pranayama and yoga of your choice or just suryanamaskara (12 poses of yoga) for 12 times.This can keep you all day fit and active.
Anoint the facial orifices (specially nose and mouth) with sesame or coconut oil to keep away the germs. Oil pulling followed by hot water gargling is a healthy practice to strengthen the jaws, deepen your voice and have excellent gustatory sensation.
Ignite your metabolism by massaging the whole body often or only head, ears and feet and with oils of your choice as per your prakriti (constitution) and season. This can calm your nerves, tone your muscles, smoother your skin and lot more. Make a habit of healthy breakfast only after a shower.
Fumigate with herbal smokes. Potent herbs like neem, turmeric, sandal, camphor can be used to fumigate the house every day. This can ward off the bad odor inside the home or any premises and help prevent microbial entry.
Take a break with herbal infusions. Ayurveda herbs like tulsi, ginger, cinnamon, cumin,ashwagandha,mulethi etc will not only cleanse your throat but also soothe your gut and help detox.Refreshes your mood from the stress around.
Garnish your culinary with herbs and spices. A little bit of pepper and mint spread on your fiber filled salads can take away your senses. Helps your nutrient absorption, improves digestion, eases the bowel movements.
Keep a check on quantity of food intake throughout the day. Gulping anything and everything being at home may hamper your appetite and digestion. Light food is always conducive to your health. Overeating may keep you lethargic.
Do not dehydrate or over-hydrate. There is a myth on specific quantity of water consumption. If each of us are different as human beings then the quantity of food and water intake also differ. Do not keep yourself thirsty for longer hours.
Be creative in all forms. Try cooking new recipes, indulge in your favorite hobbies, take care of your home garden, draw and paint, practice writing, read books, try to talk to those who can fill in positive thoughts,hear an inspiring speech.
Feel the gratitude and help others. Self-satisfaction for the deeds we do make us happy. Dinner should be at least an hour before you go to bed. Take 100 steps before you go to bed. Write down your plan for tomorrow.Sleep with a calm mind.
