Before You Go: Final Thoughts
UF Undergraduate CAP Mentors
Providing undergraduate business majors with career and professional development to acquire great internships and jobs.
Good morning, Business Gators!
We are wrapping up our last blog series this week with final thoughts before the semester ends and students embark on their summer plans. Whether you are studying abroad, interning, starting a full-time role, or enjoying a free summer, here’s a few tips for before you go!
1.?????Pursue your Passions
No matter what you’re doing this summer, it is important to pursue your passions. Whether that is through your work, career development, or personal development, make sure to take time for yourself. Read as many books as you can, plan coffee dates, play pickleball, or get the certification you’ve been eyeing. The opportunities are endless!
2.?????Explore
If you face a new move this summer (to a city you’re interning in, moving to, studying abroad in, or going home to), explore! Acclimating to a new city can be challenging and exciting all in one. Don’t get caught up in work on the weekends, but instead explore, hike, and immerse yourself in your new location!

3.?????Connect
Taking time over the summer to truly connect with yourself, your colleagues, and new friends can be refreshing for your mental health. The time away from campus and class gives you the opportunity to rest, reset, and grow. Use it to your advantage!
All in all, as we prepare to depart the spring semester, remember to take care of yourself. Whether that be through following your dreams, exploring your new city, or forming close relationships, make the most of the opportunities ahead.?
Additionally, as we end our blog for the 2022-2023 year, I would like to thank you for following along! It has been my pleasure to write for the CAP Mentors, touching on subjects I am both passionate about and experienced in. All of the CAP Mentors and Coaches thank you for your support this year and we look forward to continuing on in the Fall semester!?
The CAP office remains open this week, then will be closed for the rest of the semester and summer. All remaining appointments are available through Hire Warrington, using this link:?https://warrington-ufl.12twenty.com/Login. We look forward to seeing you! Have a great summer!
Sincerely,?
