BEFORE YOU BREAK A RECORD
In times like this,
We will revel in the audacity of a
Strong African woman
?
Sail through the depths of her fire
And tell our generations how it rained
possibilities in the fierceness of her vision
As she whispered “Your dreams are valid too”
At this point, nearly everyone knows the story of Hilda Baci and her widely publicized attempt to break a Guinness world record in the category of ‘Longest cooking time by an individual’. Hilda succeeded in surpassing Chef Lata Tondon’s record of 87 hours, 45minutes by achieving a 100-hour record time.
It was reported that over 4.8 billion people watched her attempt, some hailed, most were inspired and some questioned their life choices. Her preparation journey was shared via social media, showcasing her workout routines and this made me pay attention to the physical, psychological, and health factors involved.
I remember watching Lily Collyer’s successful attempt for 24 hours of burpees and watching her preparation journey as well.
I have seen numerous mentions by the public of attempts they will like to take on, which are mostly body-movement oriented, some are obviously joking, but I know more are being serious.
Hence, I thought to come and make sure you know what they/you are about to get into. After all, what are friends for!!?
