Before the Oil
Our energy transition does not come easy. Everything we do has a price, a consequence. In our fast pacing world it is hard to take a break and reflect upon what really matters.
I came across an extraordinary man, Odd Kvinen, living deep in the mountains in southern Norway and running a husky farm. Teaching about the energy transition from before the oil until present day, respect for nature and choices we have to make. A story worth sharing, that is why we decided to make this short documentary film.
"We will need more energy while at the same time we want to phase out our oil. But there are realities we must face if we want to change to renewable and more clean energy.
But are we willing to change?"
Enjoy watching, feel free to share!

1 年Thanks Roel, for these great images of the beautiful Norwegian landscape with a great message: Are we willing to change our focus from wanting more and more at the cost of our ecosystem to becoming a respectful member of the ecosystem? I sure hope so, it is up to each and everyone of us, only together, consumers, industry and governments we can make that change.

1 年Just watched this short documentary on Norway's stunning natural beauty and its journey of wealth through oil and hydropower. It raises a crucial question: Has our prosperity brought us happiness, and what have we sacrificed along the way? It's a reminder that true progress encompasses not just economic growth but also preserving our environment, nurturing our communities, and finding a balance that enriches both our wallets and our lives.
