Before Her Time

It is great to step outside your comfort zone and do something you thought you probably could not or would not do. We have seen that life can throw up challenges that allow us to reach new ways of thinking, new ways of being and new ways of knowing. I started this journey four years ago. It was a journey of feeling the need to write Julia's story. I had never written or published a fiction book before let alone a trilogy. I have only ever published books and articles on leadership excellence that maintain organisational and business excellence. So I took on the challenge and here we are four years later, my first fiction book has been published I feel a real sense of pride and achievement particularly not being a known author in this space. Before Her Time is a story about triumph over challenge, truth over secrecy, love over pain, and about bravery and courage over cowardness. Even though this book is fiction, I am sure many people can relate to Julia's story and how the love of a parent is enduring no matter what, how forgiveness and justice are closely aligned yet so opposed in their purpose and outcome. I am sure many people that read this story feel Julia in their presence as she jumps off the pages into the hearts and minds of her readers as they feel the emotion of wanting justice for her and her family. When I have read back Julia's story despite having written the book, I also feel her story, her courage and pain.
