Before decisions are made, you need to let the people in the room know what it is that you want and why you should get it.
They can pound the table for you and they can help steer your career in the direction that you want it to go.
You have to let them know that you want to grow in the organization, or that you want to pivot, or that you want to make a shift in your career. You have to let them know that you have bigger ambitions, to do something else, or to do something more.

3 年This is such a great point. So many are bystanders in their own career when they should be taking the lead. Ongoing self assessment, recognizing our strengths and what we bring to the organization, and positioning ourselves to best drive our organizations forward. We will never get what we *don't* ask for (or that people don't know we want!).
